Melanie Dobson is an Associate based in the London office, with over 13 years’ experience in transport planning. She began her career at i‑Transport as a Graduate Transport Planner and has progressed through the business to her current role, building a broad and well‑rounded portfolio along the way. Melanie has worked on a wide range of projects, from small‑scale residential developments to major new settlements, as well as school expansions and health facilities. Her experience spans projects across the UK, with a particular focus on London and the South East. Known for her collaborative approach, Melanie works closely with project teams and stakeholders to deliver practical, well‑considered solutions to complex transport challenges.

Mark is Managing Partner and one of the founders of iTransport, with over 25 years’ experience in transport planning.

He advises on major development projects across the UK, specialising in strategic residential and commercial schemes. Mark is known for developing clear transport strategies for complex sites and leading negotiations with local authorities and National Highways.

With a long track record of successful projects, he provides strategic leadership to both clients and the business, helping shape developments that are deliverable, sustainable and commercially successful.

Louis is a Consultant specialising in junction modelling and traffic analysis. Based in the London office, he uses tools such as Junctions 11 and LinSig to assess development impacts on the highway network and identify appropriate mitigation strategies.

He has worked across London and the South East, providing clear, data-led insight that supports planning applications and ensures compliance with national policy.

Louis focuses on producing accurate, reliable modelling outputs that help clients understand constraints early and move forward with confidence.

Ronan is a Principal Consultant specialising in strategic transport planning for complex, high-profile developments. Since joining as a graduate, he has built extensive experience supporting projects across the UK, including major schemes in London.

He provides clear, evidence-led advice on transport assessments, access, servicing and active travel strategies, working closely with stakeholders to secure planning approvals.

Ronan is particularly focused on delivering sustainable transport solutions that prioritise walking, cycling and public transport — helping create developments that are better connected and work in practice as well as policy.

Ian Dimbylow

Director

About

Ian is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in both the planning and design of development infrastructure. He has experience supporting major planning applications as well as strategic advice on transport matters for sites early in the planning process. He has appeared as an expert witness to Planning Inquiries on transport planning issues, appeared at Local Plan Examination in Public and has also undertaken appeal by written representation. He has prepared Transport Assessments and transport chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments for a wide variety of projects from large residential developments, motorway service areas, energy infrastructure, government buildings and mixed-use sites. Ian undertook a number of guest lectures at University of East London on Highway Design. He has detailed experience of transport and development infrastructure from conception to completion.
